On the small screen, in addition to numerous nat’l & int’l commer- cial, Chontelle has secured starring roles on majors like Law & Order: SVU, Lifetime’s Racing For Time, NBC’s Third Watch, 5th Ward, Life- times’s Lust, & more. …On the big screen, she enjoyed a leading role as Devonne in Joyful Noise, sharing the screen with superstars such as Queen Latifah & Dolly Parton. Her film career goes on to include such movies as Madea’s Big Happy Family, The Last New Yorker, Ghost Town, Rachel Getting Married, Camp, & more.

Additionally, Chontelle’s stage life has soared with starring roles like originating Little Shop of Horrors’ Chiffon on Broadway, & Broad- way’s Legally Blonde the Musical, as Pilar! She’s played in several other shows such as Two Gentlemen of Verona, Hair (AFC), Happy Days the Musical, Beehive, The Wiz, & starred in the Broadway Nat’l Tour, Flashdance the Musical, as Kiki.

In addition to lighting up the stage as Rachel Marron (u/s)/Nickie Marron in The Bodyguard the Musical,
Chontelle has also been working towards the release of her debut R&B/Hip-Hop-Soul album!

Also, she’s STOKED about most recently booking & consecutively portraying these MANY dream roles: Josephine Baker in the bio- musical, Josephine Tonight; Shug Avery in highly acclaimed The Color Purple, Billie Holiday in Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar and Grill, Lauren Anderson in Plumshuga, her own biopic playing herself in Houston For The Holidays, and Diva Donna in Summer, the Donna Summer Musical.

Further, Chontelle just WON Best Supporting Actress with the Broad- way World Awards for her roles of Glenda & Aunt Em in The Wiz. AND she, too, is presently awaiting her next TV role to drop this year, guest-starring as Cinnamon in the new hit mystery-comedy, Diarra From Detroit! …Whew!!!
